Drop-Off
9:00am Monday
DIRECTIONS TO OUR FARM
Elizabeth is a small town located just Southeast of Galena, IL. From Chicago/Rockford area take US-20 W to downtown Elizabeth. Take an early left on Sycamore until you see our large camp sign and reach a gravel parking area.
DROP OFF PROCEDURE
Once you arrive, please park in the gravel lot which is located at the foot of our driveway. Unload your camper’s luggage and join us at the tractor-pulled wagon for a group ride up to the barn! Parents and campers will unload by the barn, meet the family and staff, and say goodbyes. In the interest of your camper’s engagement in the farm and avoiding drawn-out goodbyes, the drop off at the barn should take less than 10 minutes. Parents will then be shuttled back down to their car.
At drop-off, please confirm who will be picking up your camper on Friday.
Pick-Up
3:00pm Friday
We invite you to join us at 3pm on Friday for a snack and camper-led tour of the farm. Snacks will be grown, prepared, and served by campers! Events will wrap up by 4:00pm when we invite you to explore Elizabeth’s small businesses and our farmers market stand!
The snack and tour is an important part of the week, as campers get to share their favorite experiences with you and demonstrate the confidence, responsibility and sense of ownership they’ve built at the farm. If at all possible, it would be ideal to have you in attendance for the full hour of events at pick-up.
Additional and extended family members are welcome to join us, but to make sure we have enough food and seats, please RSVP by the Monday of your camp week how many individuals will be coming (You can designate the number on your Drop-Off form).
The Elizabeth Farmer’s market runs Friday from 3-6pm at Terrapin Park (on Hwy 20), and is a nice wrap-up to the week. Three Sisters Sweet Shop and E-Town cafe, both in downtown Elizabeth, have ice cream.
