Summer Camp Counselor – A seasonal position starting in late May and running through mid August. Compensation dependent on experience. Working with 7-12 year old kids, the position will include guiding small groups of campers through farm projects and chores, leading a fun and positive cabin of girls/boys, promoting hard work and creative play each and every day. The ideal candidate will be energetic, hard-working, enjoy being outside, appreciate good food, healthy living, and be interested in life on a family farm. Room and board included, candidate must pass background checks and be willing to live in bunk area with campers during the camp week. Farm experience not required, but if “Grandpa owned a farm,” that’ll give you a head-start.
Farm Intern – Full-time, seasonal position from March/May through August/September with a possibility to become full-time year-round. Compensation dependent on experience and availability. Responsibility is to assist in the day to day operations of the farm including livestock care; garden and foodstuff planting, cultivation and harvest; facilities maintenance and development, and machinery service. The ideal candidate will have good communication and problem solving skills, and be able to work in a team environment. Experience with electrical, plumbing, machinery, construction, kids, and working in a team a PLUS!
Camp Chef- The camp chef will be a full-time resident on the farm and guide small groups of campers through knife skills training, meal preparations, clean up, baking/canning. As chef, you will be an integral part of camp whether it be collecting eggs, playing games, incorporating freshly harvested vegetables into the menu, eating meals family-style, telling campfire stories. The camp kitchen is a full-sized, commercially licensed kitchen. You will have a lot of flexibility to make your mark as a chef with the campers and on the farm.
Event Staff- We are booking events on the farm in which we will need support staff to help out with the food/space/clean-up. Some tasks you could be given: prep food/spaces for pizza nights, cook meals during Farm Stays, help serve food/drinks, move tables/chairs, set tables, clean up and do dishes, take orders and payment, etc. Event staff would be paid hourly depending on skills and experience. Be prepared to work before, during, and after the event. Most events will be over the weekends– Fridays typically host pizza nights, dinners, weddings, Friday-Sunday host Farm Stays (weekend housing options may be available to you!), etc. We will feed you excellent food as part of your pay while you are working!
